The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has officially listed five spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), hinting that their launch could be imminent.
According to the DTCCโs website, the spot XRP ETFs from Bitwise (XRP), Franklin Templeton (XRPZ), 21Shares (TOXR), Canary (XRPC), and CoinShares (XRPL) are now categorized under the platformโs โactive and pre-launchโ section.
While DTCCโs listing is a positive indicator for ETFs seeking to enter the market, it does not guarantee approval or launch โ particularly for those still awaiting clearance from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Momentum Builds After Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Success
Following the strong performance of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, major issuers have accelerated efforts to bring altcoin-based ETFs to the market.
Recently, spot ETFs for Litecoin (LTC), Solana (SOL), and Hedera (HBAR) were successfully launched after months of regulatory delay. Notably, Canaryโs spot Litecoin ETF โ the first of its kind in the U.S. โ appeared on the DTCC in February and debuted eight months later in October.
XRP ETFs Could Launch as Early as Mid-November
Industry expectations are rising that spot XRP ETFs may launch later this month, as the SEC recently introduced standardized listing procedures that allow faster approvals through amended S-1 filings. This means funds could automatically go live by mid-to-late November without additional procedural holdups.
Earlier this month, Grayscale and Bitwise disclosed management fees for their upcoming XRP products. Meanwhile, Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg told attendees at the Ripple Swell conference that his firm is fully ready to roll out its XRP ETF next week.
Adding to the optimism, NovaDius Wealth Management President Nate Geraci said on X (formerly Twitter) that he expects the first round of spot XRP ETFs to debut within a week.
Regulatory Progress May Accelerate Other Altcoin ETFs
Beyond XRP, several altcoin ETFs could also see faster approval timelines, as the U.S. Senateโs tentative deal to end the government shutdown is expected to restore the SECโs review capacity.
With five XRP ETFs now on the DTCC list, market anticipation is mounting, and investors are watching closely to see if XRP becomes the next major digital asset to gain a spot ETF presence in the United States.
