The NFT market has posted its second consecutive week of gains, with total sales volume climbing 10.44% to $136.5 million, according to new data from CryptoSlam. This renewed energy in the sector is happening alongside a wider crypto market rally, with Bitcoin trading above $108,000 and Ethereum up 3.6% over the past week.
The global crypto market capitalization has also jumped to $3.33 trillion, up from $3.21 trillion just a week earlier.
User Activity Holds Steady Despite Drop in Transactions
The number of NFT buyers remained unchanged at 1,061,348, maintaining a 50.56% year-over-year growth rate. Meanwhile, seller activity increased by 8.09%, totaling 38,494 sellers. However, total NFT transactions declined by 19.72%, with just over 1.35 million trades recorded during the period.
Polygon Moves into Second Place as Wash Trading Spikes
Immutable retained its leadership with $43.9 million in weekly NFT sales, marking a 30.27% increase. Impressively, wash trading on Immutable is negligible, at only $6.
Polygon (POL) made a strong move, surging to second place with $25 million in sales, up a remarkable 51.53%. However, it also saw a massive spike in wash trading, rising 1,573.33% to $564,363.
Ethereum dropped to third place, with $22.5 million in NFT sales, representing an 8.63% decline. Wash trading on Ethereum climbed 15.54% to $1.9 million.

Polygon led all chains in buyer growth, increasing 35.63%, followed by Bitcoin at 23.22% and Mythos Chain at 19.32%.
