Injective, a leading Layer-1 blockchain, has announced the launch of the world’s first private equity (Pre-IPO) perpetual futures markets, giving investors access to high-profile companies such as OpenAI, SpaceX, Anthropic, and Perplexity directly on-chain.
According to the company’s statement on Wednesday, this groundbreaking product allows users to trade exposure to the $13+ trillion private equity sector via blockchain. Unlike traditional futures, perpetual futures have no expiration date, enabling traders to hold positions indefinitely.
This new initiative follows Injective’s earlier partnership with Republic, announced in August, aimed at democratizing retail access to private firms like Sam Altman’s OpenAI and Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Republic previously revealed plans to issue “Mirror Tokens,” digital instruments that track the value of private company shares.
A New Way to Access Pre-IPO Shares
By introducing on-chain private equity stock derivatives, Injective seeks to open the door for investors who want exposure to some of the most valuable startups before they go public. The project kicks off with Pre-IPO shares of OpenAI available through major Injective applications such as Helix Markets, with more companies set to launch in October.
Injective highlighted additional names expected to join, including Monzo, xAI, Revolut, Airtable, and Notion — startups leading growth in AI, fintech, and productivity tools.
“These companies represent some of the fastest-growing private startups, especially in Data & AI, which raised over $100 billion in 2024,” Injective stated.
Strong Market Momentum
Injective recently disclosed that in just 30 days, its blockchain facilitated $1 billion in real-world asset (RWA) perpetual futures trading, signaling rising demand for blockchain-based financial products.
Backed by major investors including Jump Crypto, Pantera, and Mark Cuban, and incubated by Binance, Injective is positioning itself at the forefront of the tokenized private equity revolution.
